Oakley at the Swatch Skiers Cup 2012

We are honored to have Oakley White-Allen as one of our Aseda Athletes. This month Oakley is competing in the Big Mountain Freeride competition called the Swatch Skiers Cup 2012 in Valle Nevado, Chile. This is his second year in a row competing in this internationally televised event.

Here's his latest post on Facebook about the event: "Day one here at the Cup finished up here a few days ago. Out of two match ups I secured one point for Team Americas. My post is a little late because we have been in Pichilemu, surfing for the passed few days. This contest is surreal..."

Go big Oakley!

Aseda Raw Honey partners with Local First Utah

Local-First Utah-200x200

Aseda Raw Honey is excited to be partners with the Local First Utah program. If you live in Utah, you now have another reason to buy local.

View Aseda's business listing on Local First Utah's website.

What are the advantages to buying local?

It's a good question. When you buy local you and your community both benefit in the following ten ways:

  1. You keep your money in our economy.
  2. You embrace the character of our unique community here in Utah.
  3. You help create local jobs.
  4. You help the environment by reducing transportation costs.
  5. You benefit from your local community's passion and expertise and build face-to-face relationships.
  6. You keep your tax dollars here.
  7. You encourage innovation and product diversity.
  8. You support your neighbors and they support you. Studies show that local businesses donate to community causes at twice the rate of chains.
  9. You keep the American Dream alive by nurturing entrepreneurship, which is the foundation of our American economy.
  10. You make Utah a desirable travel destination.
The more interesting and unique we are as a community and economy, the more we attract new neighbors and visitors. This benefits everyone!

Aseda Rocks the Desert

The Aseda Vibe Tribe has returned from the "Desert Rocks Festival: Celebrating Consciousness" with lasting memories and friendships forged during the four day festival held in Green River, Utah.

With Aseda Wild Honey banners flapping in winds up to 60 miles per hour on Saturday night, the Aseda Vibe Squad helped participants and volunteers brave the elements by sharing the healing effects of Aseda Raw Honey during an intense dust storm. Aseda Raw Honey can be used to coat the throat and help protect against infection, can be used as a topical treatment on the skin for burns or cuts, and provides a sustained energy boost rich with minerals.

The Desert Rocks Festival also marked Aseda's latest involvement as a sponsor to the growing conscious festival movement. Aseda Wild Honey Energy Packs (buy online), were vended from the Desert Rocks Merchandise booth, and the Sustainable Living Roadshow booth.

Aseda President Anthony Baron Kirk and Aseda Vice President Bessie McIntosh are excited to provide workshops, documentary screenings and break-out sessions to increase awareness about the importance of sustainable bee keeping, bee colony collapse disorder, and the health benefits of Aseda Raw Honey at various festivals across the United States.

A big thank you to the members of the Aseda Vibe Tribe - Anthony Baron Kirk, Bessie McIntosh, Tanner Rosenthal, Oakley White-Allen, Brooke Thorn, Dre Day, Nadine Christine, Aaron McIntosh, Mikaya Swabb, and Nicole DeVaney. And a special thank you to Kinde from Kinde Nebeker Design, who designed the Aseda Wild Honey banners that were on display at the festival, and Weston Hall, who photographed our involvement.

Aseda Vibe Tribe at the Desert Rocks Festival

The Aseda Vibe Tribe will be at the Desert Rocks Festival in Green River, Utah to increase awareness about Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).

Aseda President, Anthony Barron Kirk, is presenting the documentary "Vanishing of the Bees," a film which covers the effects of Colony Collapse Disorder on ecosystems that depend on bee colonies to pollinate and propagate plant life. And Aseda's Vice President, Bessie McIntosh, will be presenting a natural facial and skincare demo in the Desert Rocks Spa.
